On top of performing, I have experience coaching and directing actors in scenes, monologues, short films and plays, as well as teaching acting, improv and meditation workshops to high school students. Additionally, I have also been hired to write personalized monologues for actors for their auditions on the odd occasion such monologues are acceptable. (Writing sample available upon request.)

That being said, I would love to help you with your next audition whether it’s as a reader, self tape coach, writer and/or monologue coach! Generally my schedule is pretty flexible, so please don’t hesitate to inquire no matter how short the notice.

I gladly coach via Skype as well.

“Mandi’s passion and enthusiasm for acting and performing are first-rate.  Her experience in acting for stage, TV, and film is a valuable asset in her ability to coach others through the process of preparing for auditions.  Having known Mandi for over a decade, I can attest that her preparedness and commitment to her craft are solid.   She has worked with students in a wide range of activities – from teaching Improv, directing peers in Drama class, to writing plays and scripts for many types of performance.  Mandi relates well to others and they respond to her caring nature and her passionate commitment to the task at hand. With her wide array of theatrical gifts, I highly endorse Mandi’s ability to assist anyone with their auditions, as well as desiring to improve their talents.”

– Irene Peters, Drama Teacher (Winnipeg, MB)

“Mandi’s eye for detail and passion for her work are evident and invaluable during coaching, she’s encouraging, and helps you search for honesty, integrity and new sides to your abilities. Helping me feel so confident and prepared was crucial to my audition prep and having that outside eye to help explore the content to it’s fullest extent really brought the material she wrote for me to life. I’d recommend her to anyone as she always has something to bring to the table and the ability to bring out the genius in everyone!”

– Nyala Pittel, Actress (Edmonton, AB)

“Mandi has helped me with several auditions in the past and has always been a supportive reader. She comes to the table with a lot of ideas and suggestions but never takes over the audition — she takes the time to work with you to make sure you get what you want out of the scene. Mandi is comfortable playing scenes in a variety of ways and trying different things out until the material starts to “click,” and she has excellent instincts so she can tell when things are working and when they need some adjustments. Her work in improv has taught her how to be adaptable and make decisive choices quickly, so she can handle pretty much anything you can throw at her!”

– Kevin P. Gabel, Actor (Winnipeg, MB)

“Ms. Maxwell is a consummate performer and coach. She brings a wealth of experience from a diverse background. She actively engages with  and meets individuals on their levels of comfort within each lesson. She worked with a group of strong willed Grade 9 students and quickly, firmly, and kindly brought them onboard as they each worked on finding their voice and their truth in acting. She took them through breathing techniques, visioning pieces, journaling with purpose, and worked on strengthening their collective improvisational arrangements. Over the course of several lessons she had my students engage in opening up to each other on an even more profound level than had been already established and consequently we became a stronger theatre troupe for it.”

– Kimberly Dudek, Drama Teacher (Winnipeg, MB)

“Mandi is a great teacher and great actor herself. She helped focus on being myself and improving my unique acting. Also, the vibe is always friendly and professional, never intimidating. I would highly recommend her to friends and colleagues.”

– Sean W. Harrison, Actor (Winnipeg, MB)
