FEELING UNREAL

MOOD BOARD

CHARACTERS

HALEY

Haley is the protagonist of Feeling Unreal. After landing a lead role in the Walterdayle Theatre's upcoming show, she unexpectedly develops depersonalization disorder.

ETHAN

With disheveled hair and an “artsy grunge” fashion, Ethan (they/them/he/him) is a gentle, artistic soul with an edge—the kind of guy who will write you a love song while a “FUCK SOCIETY” poster hangs behind him on his bedroom wall. Surviving a severe car crash where he lost his mother and younger brother, Ethan now struggles with PTSD and trauma-induced OCD. He wears long-sleeved shirts to hide the skin-picking wounds on his arms and shoulders due to his harm OCD. Ethan identifies as pansexual, nonbinary and agenderfluid, but his anxiety keeps him from living as his true self. Over time, with Haley's support, love and encouragement, Ethan finds himself slowly embracing his gender fluidity, starting with some simple eyeliner and mascara.

JESSE

Under his charming exterior, Jesse possesses sociopathic and narcissistic qualities; he is selfish and does not have the ability to feel empathy. Known as one of the top theatre performers in Toronto, Jesse uses his status and sex appeal to cover up the crippling insecurity he buries deep inside. Rocking bed-head hair, his intense eyes make you believe anything.
